The Ford Econo Check is a new service check designed to help our customers reduce their fuel bills. The check offers both a vehicle inspection, an extended analysis of driving style and advice on how to improve fuel economy and is aimed at most vehicles up to 12 years of age.

How does it work?
Based on an in-depth analysis of your driving style over a week, we’ll put together an easy to understand Ford Econo Check report for you containing suggestions on how to optimise your driving style.
Follow the 8 steps below to help lower fuel consumption, emissions and costs.
Step 1
Pop into our dealership and a service advisor will explain all the details and technology of the Ford Econo Check, they will also fill in a Return Card with your contact details.
Step 2
As part of the Ford Econo Check, a highly skilled technician will check 35 points on your vehicle, including those parts relating to fuel consumption. For instance that the tyre pressure is correct and the air filter is clean.
Step 3
Then a data logger** will be fitted to your Ford. This data logger is programmed to collect information relevant to fuel consumption.
Step 4
Drive as normal over the next seven days. We evaluate your driving style based on the analysis of the recorded driving data.
Step 5
After a week, remove the data logger and send it back to us in our self-addressed envelope, along with the completed Return Card. Or contact us and we will gladly detach it from your Ford vehicle.
Step 6
After having received the Ford data logger we will extract the driving data and analyse your driving style – for example acceleration, point of gear shifting, engine speed and engine coolant temperature.
Step 7
From the results of the analysis you will receive an easy-to-understand Ford Econo Check report with personalised recommendations on how to adapt your driving style and optimise fuel consumption.

The Ford Econo Check report will be a valuable tool for making your driving style as efficient as possible. You’ll feel the changes not just in your fuel tank but also, and more importantly, in your pocket.
